Our Geelong law firm began in 1935 when Roger O’Halloran established an office in Little Malop Street. He retired as principal in 1986 but remained as a consultant to the firm until 1996.

Brendan O’Halloran

Brendan is the principal of Roger O’Halloran & Company, continuing a proud family legacy. With over 40 years of legal experience, he combines deep academic expertise with a genuine appetite for learning and problem-solving. Brendan concentrates on complex legal matters, operating on the philosophy that the greater the challenge, the greater the potential reward for his clients.

  • Having practised law since 1980, Brendan has been exposed to most areas of legal practice throughout his career. Today, he focuses his expertise on Family Law, Wills and Estates, and Civil Litigation. He brings decades of practical insight and a seasoned approach to handling both straightforward and highly intricate legal disputes.

  • Brendan’s extensive legal career is built on a strong foundation of diverse academic achievement and specialised training:

    • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) – Monash University

    • Bachelor of Arts (BA) – Monash University

    • Graduate Diploma in Advanced Family Law – Melbourne University

    • Certificate in Mediation – Equipping him with valuable skills to resolve disputes constructively.

  • Educated locally at Chanel College in his early years, Brendan has always maintained an appetite for growth, both professionally and personally. He has travelled widely and deeply enjoys encountering different cultures and languages, a perspective that enriches his understanding of the diverse clients he represents.

  • Outside the realm of law, Brendan is a keen tennis player, an avid bushwalker, and a talented actor in community theatre. He enjoys creative pursuits, playing the piano (by his own admission, badly) and listening to an eclectic range of music, spanning everything from early classical music to modern jazz.

She is fluent in both Russian and English, specialising in seamless Russian-to-English translation. This unique strength ensures that potential Russian speaking clients receive precise, culturally nuanced communication and dedicated legal support through every step of their matter.

  • Olga’s areas of practice include Wills & Estates, Family Law, and Immigration Law, reflecting a genuine commitment to supporting people through life's most challenging milestones. A strong advocate for Alternative Dispute Resolution, she prioritises mediation and negotiation to achieve sustainable, amicable, and cost-effective outcomes for her clients.
